We provide a thick Pilates mats for each person in the class, which we ask you to spray and wipe down after use. If you prefer, you are welcome to bring your own mat to lay on top of the studio mats.
How does membership work?

We now also offer class passes, for those looking for maximum flexibility without the monthly payment.

Do you have a changing room?
You are welcome to get changed in the loos at the studio. However, if it is possible for you to arrive ready for class, we recommend that you do so.
Can I park nearby?
The nearest car park is a 3 minute walk away at Clifford’s Tower – click here for the car park location and pricing. There is also limited pay and display parking on Cumberland Street, directly outside the studio.
Where can I leave my bike?
There are bicycle racks directly opposite the studio, on Cumberland Street.
I’d like to speak to someone before attending, how can I do that?
As we don’t have a reception desk, our instructors are not available by phone. However, they are always more than happy to speak to you in person about any concerns you may have. Please email hello@yorkpilatespeople.com – we can pass on a message to your teacher or make sure they are available 10min before the class starts to speak to you.
I have an chronic health condition, can I still attend?
If you have any concerns about your ability to take part in a class, it’s best to book a 1:1 session to start off with. This allows you to work through some of the exercises at your own pace, and to find any adaptations that you might need for class.
